The weather

Tunisia enjoys a Mediterranean climate in the north and along its shores. The weather is sunny and the temperatures there are very pleasant throughout the year.

The regions of central and southern Tunisia are subject to a semiarid climate to the southern end, even arid. In summer, temperatures often exceed 40 ° C, under hot and dry breath of the sirocco.
The rains are in November as heavy downpours. It rains mainly on the northern peninsula and Cape Good. On average, between 1,000 mm and 1,500 mm in the north, and only 100 mm and 200 mm in the south.
In the desert there are strong changes in temperature between day and night.

As in Europe, winter temperatures are low, requiring warm clothes.

Spring and autumn are the best times to discover Tunisia. The months of May, June, September and October are particularly pleasant.
